Please take 1 minute and read this. I am happy to provide the team analysis tool, free of charge, for any FRC team. The Team Tool (as it is called right now) is just a small part of a much larger project that I have not had the time to complete. That project is "My Team" and is intended to provide detailed information about FRC teams for other teams. It will be like a match making service for FRC alliances. I am providing this service to hopefully encourage people to join FIRST Objective. FIRST Objective is a community that will bring together the FIRST community with the rest of the world. My thought is that existing FRC team members would add videos of FIRST related events (competitions, team promo videos, animations, etc...) so that people that do not understand FIRST might become interested and new teams would get started. I am a parent and mentor, and our school does not have a FIRST team. Our students work together with a neighboring school that does understand the importance of FIRST and we are very grateful. Still, we try to get our own team started and have yet to find the right people to make this happen. I wanted my efforts to not only help our students start a new team, but students in every school start a team. Take a moment and join FIRST Objective. The announcement went out to FIRST Objective users on Thursday November 22 about the addition of My Team. This site is far from complete, however I do feel that it is at a state where users can begin to get the feel for its capabilities and then provide valuable feedback. Please remember a few things as you proceed to use this site. It is very important that all users registering for an account do so using their FRC team number. Once a team has registered, others from the same team should not try and register again. (This makes it important for all team members to know and understand My Team & FIRST Objective). Please remember Gracious Professionalism! I want this website to bring out everyone's positive side. I will be adding more forums in the near future. You can always bring up issues regarding My Team in the FIRST Objective forums. Lastly, check out the "Regional Data" menu item. Type in any team number to get an analysis of their performance from the 2007 season. I will keep a similar database as the data comes in during the 2008 regional season. |

My Team is a FIRST community where your team can be seen by other teams. Consider this the pre-scouting site. Currently this is a mock-up of what this would have looked like for the 2007 season. All functionality found here will be brought forward to the 2008 version, this is just a way to test and try before the competition begins. Make sure your team completes all the information in the forms and add videos to back up your claims. Other teams will have the chance to watch your vidoes and peer-review them by giving your team a rating. |
