History:
Forest Hills has been involved with FIRST Robotics Competition for many years. Initially, they partnered with Northview High School to create Team 1227,
the Techno-Gremlins. As sponsorship dried up, students from the Forest Hills district worked with Creston High School - Team 904. Since 2007 Forest Hills students
have tried to get a team back in their own district and finally this is becomming a reality. Team 3357 is now recruiting students from the Forest Hills area to
participate with this newly formed team.

About FIRST Robotics Competition:
This competition is designed to be played like a sport. Competition is fiercly intense, yet the atmosphere is such that
any team will help any other team in a time of need. Competition is based on students driving their remote controlled robot to score points in a game that changes
every year. At the beginning of the competition season, a new game is announced; teams receive a standard kit of parts, which includes electric motors, control systems,
and some basic building materials. Teams then have 6 weeks to design, build, program and test their robot. Each robot has an on-board computer that can be
used however the team sees fit.
What could I be doing if I joined this new FIRST team?
There are areas on our team for just about anyone, no matter what your career goals may be.
Obviously, if you like to build things, work with tools or take things apart, this team is for you. If you like mechanics, physics or engineering you will
be designing our machine. If you like computer programming, you'll be helping program the robot (it needs to drive itself autonomously using code you could
write). If you like computer games and enjoy fast action, you might be our driver. There are areas for students who like to draw and design mechanical machines
using top of the line CAD software. If the robot really isn't your thing, you might enjoy taking pictures, videos
and helping create our teams own website. If you enjoy meeting new people, you might like helping us get sponsors, and you might enjoy talking to other
students on other teams to help us form powerful alliances.
